Some statistics from Pathways to the Past:

• 7 local schools came to the archaeological dig
• 78 extra people joined the mailing list.
• 100 local people also worked on the dig
• 250 children and young people came from schools, colleges and “Home Schooled” pupils to visit the dig in May 2014
• 336 x 8 hour volunteer days where given by Friends of Fairy Dell volunteers.
  Using the Heritage lottery specification for each task type this would have cost £70,000
  (at rates of either £350 / £150 /£50 per day)
• 400 people attended 21 traditional craft sessions, talks and demonstrations which were held between December 2013 and June 2014
• 445 people participated in a 'Walks' and 'Talks' programme between June 2014 and January 2015
• 3,000+ people from across the north east attended the Medieval Festival in Fairy Dell Park on July 20th 2014
• 21,000+ website page views took place between December 2013 and December 2014 
  643 of these visits took place on July 20th (Festival day)
• £38,800 was spent and accounted for during the life of Pathways to the Past
