Winners, recognised for supporting our local community.
Middlesbrough's popular parks now have a magnificent seven Green Flag Awards.
The prestigious accolade was confirmed following the latest visit by independent judges from the Keep Britain Tidy campaign.
The town now has Green Flag sites at Fairy Dell, Thorntree Park, Stewart Park, Albert Park, Pallister Park, Hemlington Lake and Recreation Centre and Linthorpe Cemetery.
The Green Flag Award is a national quality benchmark for parks which are inspected every year.
“Middlesbrough’s parks and open spaces are valued and enjoyed by young and old alike and the people of Middlesbrough can feel rightly proud of this achievement.”
The Fairy Dell and Park have now been awarded a Green Flag award yearly since 2010
