Bolckow - Vaughan History 5K Trail Run;

Marton Hall to Gunnergate Hall

Thursday 14th May 2015 10am to 12noon

Stewart Park Visitor’s Centre, The Stables, TS7 8AR

The trail run started and the site of Marton Hall within Stewart Park. The runners heard about Hemry Bolckow, Middlesbrough’s 19th Century ‘Ironmaster” and his home.

The group then, running a a ‘leisurely pace’ came to Fairy Dell and the site of Gunnergate Hall, via St. Cuthbert’s Church at Marton.

Gunnergate Hall was at one time the home of John Vaughan. The group heard a brief talk about the business partnership between the two great men and their homes, before the runners returned to Henry’s Cafe back at Stewart Park.

The event was open to all runners and Free to enter.
