The Friends had help to build a boardwalk over a very muddy section of the lakeside footpath in the Dell. Middlesbrough Council provided the materials for us to do the work ourselves. Kenny Crooks, Living Waterways Officer with Tees Valley Wildlife Trust and Living Waterways Assistant Rachel O'Sullivan were involved - Kenny has many years of experience in this work so was able to give us invaluable guidance and support.  We also had a group working with us from staff at Santander Bank, Thornaby. They came as part of a Community Day project when staff volunteer to go out for a day and work to help local Community groups. It was a busy day and fortunately there was only one very heavy shower, so the work was almost completed by the end of the day.

 The Friends were very grateful for everyone's help.
