Year 3 children from Hemlington Hall school visited Fairy Dell today. The visit was the result of an invitation from Dave Elliott of Friends of Fairy Dell, who is a governor at the school.....   Click for full story


A discolouration of the lake has been reported to the Environment Agency (16/2/2011)

Samples have been taken and it is suspected it is a dye which Northumbria Water use to check systems. However it is not known why it should have suddenly appeared.

If you do see the problem again please report it to Environment Agency hot line 0800 807 060 and do not touch - just in case !!


THE colour purple will brighten up Teesside schools after caring pupils planted thousands of bulbs to mark the worldwide fight against polio.

In view of the large number of people not being able to attend the meeting, due to holidays and other meetings. it has been decided to cancel this month's meeting.  The next meeting will be on May 11th at 7.30pm at Langdon Square.

We had a wonderful few days with youngsters from Rose Wood and St. Augustines’s schools preparing and planting new hedge rows around the site.

Why are there piles of logs?
The piles of logs that you have seen in Fairy Dell are as a result of the ongoing management of the woodland, where we are removing dead and dying trees and also small and poor quality trees.

Four tenants at a specialist care and support setting in Coulby Newham near Middlesbrough have been enabled by specialist social care provider ubu to undertake rewarding voluntary work.
